What can I do if I bit into a piece of glass while eating at a restaurant?

I was in a sushi restaurant and bit into a piece of glass and chipped my bottom front tooth. What can I do? Owner said what do you want me to do, close my restaurant?

You do have a claim against the restaurant for failing to serve you food fit for human consumption, but whether it is worth filing is a judgment call. You might consider small claims court since your damages are quite modest.

After you get your tooth fixed you can sue the restaurant or at a minimum send them a letter with a copy of your dental bill asking for reimbursement.

The owner's insurance policy probably has a provision for "medical payments coverage." This can be used to pay your dental bills and would be your easiest way of getting your dental matters fixed and paid for.
